Re: What has your experience been with Lilette's bridal shop?

i was in a wedding recently and i HATED the seamstresses..they were SOOOOOOOO rude to me...i had an 11 am appt, i called them to tell them i was running about an hour late as i dont live in the area, they said fine..no one told me anything about their lil afternoon siesta that apparently HAS to be taken from 12-1230..whats the matter if they go at 12:35 to accomodate a customer thats a bad thing?
they were os mean to me when i showed up at 12 20..all i had to do was try it on and take it home 9it was the last fitting)..they threw it on me, talked about me the entire time i was in the dressing room...and then when i took it off, she grabbed it and threw it in the bag and sent me upstairs...
i was SOOOOOOO pissed, (my mother was w me) that while i was undressing and they were commenting on how 'the girls upstairs really should stop these girls from coming down this late, how inconsiderate they are, as if i dont deserve lunch, this girl had an appt an hour ago'..finally i mumbled under my breath, 'u dont look like u missed a meal' lol...and she heard me, so she said to me 'what?' and i said oh nothing, and she just continued on with her rantings about how she had to go 5 freakin minutes late for lunch...get over it lady!
sorry so long had to vent!

From my own experience (shopping for BM dresses and not having got my own dress there) and reading other posts. I think they are great to brides when you purchase your gown there, but it is a bit of a different story with BM dresses. They were pretty rude to me.

i have had an absolute wonderful experience, after having not such great experiences at other salons. I had my first fitting on Saturday and had some issues with the gown (wiith the gown itself, not the shop) and they were very assuring and sweet to me....letting me know it would all be okay! I highly recommend them.

Re: What has your experience been with Lilette's bridal shop?

The consultant who helped me back in January was quite rude to me tonight. I was explaining to her that I was never told that I should get a certain heel height when I purchased my shoes. I went ahead and bought my shoes awhile ago. They are a low heel about two and a quarter inches high. So... when I went for my first fitting the other night, the dress was too long. She kept interupting me and was trying to talk over me. I was very pleasant and nice.. I did not understand why she was rude to me. I said three times.. let me finish .. let me finish what I am saying.. and she did finaly but I thought her being the manager that she should have been more professional and courteous to me.. end result.. I may just have to go out and buy 4' shoes .. most likely platform heels so my feet won't hurt.

They can't take up the hem b/c there is too much beadery and crystals on the bottom..

What would you do?

I'm so sorry! Did you have a hollow to hem measurement?

Yes, they took that measurement with the sample shoes and the sample gown. They are telling me that my gown only comes in two lengths. They took the measurement that day and ordered it that day . You would think they would have done that AFTER I purchased shoes and called and told me to come in and THEN do the hollow to hem measurement .. but NO.. it's their fault and I am really pissed at them.

Yeah, it definitely is. I also had a hollow to hem, but they told me to make sure I had my shoes for it, or at least to get the shoes in the same size heel as I was measured with. I'm sorry you are having this issue. I will pray that you find comfy 4' heels...definitely try a wedge or platform...I find those most comfortable. Keep us posted.

My friend just had a horrible experience with them as a BM. Also, read some of the 06'ers reviews b/c some brides had problems.

Why don't you just get a fuller skirt? That should take up some length, and then maybe you just have to get 3 inch heels.
