I feel like I'm so behind... I've only got the church, rh and photo/video. I feel like so many people have SOO much more done! Am I waiting too long? I just feel like I have so much time left!

I think EVERYONE feels this way at some point or another, especially when you come on here and see that other brides are furhter along in the planning then you are. Girl, I can't tell you how many times I felt this way.
You have to go at the pace YOUR bank account will allow. Remember each time you book, thats money for a deposit that you need. You have some big things off the list! Great, start looking into the other things. Start meeting with different vendors, and narrowing down the vendors your interested in using. Then when your ready to book, you already know who you like, what their bottom line is, and how much you will need for your deposit.
Next I would look into the florist and limo. Also do your room block if your doing one for Out of town guests.

Just take it one day at a time....set a goal each month and try your best to meet it and before you know it all your major vendors will be booked!

You still have time, don't worry! I felt the same way when I was 11 months away, but little by little you'll get it all done...I still haven't booked my limo though

i feel like i still have so much to do, too. i still have to get a photog and florist! i think i might be able to calm down a little after that. fh and i just bought a house - we're closing next week and the wedding planning has taken a back seat to the mortgage broker! oh, and i only sent out my save the dates 2 days ago!

Hi date twin - don't worry we all do things at our own pace and you have the big things out of the way. I am rushing around b/c I am having surgery but if I wasn't I wouldn't be doing as much. I think you have the big things out of the way so you shouldn't worry

So far I've booked church, hall, and band. I sometimes feel like I'm behind also, but we all need to do things at our own pace. Right now I'm focusing on our e-party so I can't even think about wedding stuff. Just do a little at a time and you'll be fine.

I don't think your behind, but u should start searching vendors. I think your next big vendor should be the DJ, b/c they tend to get booked fast. From there I think your dress and then the flowers. Once u have your dress u know which boquet is best for u as well as your CP

Thank you so much! I certainly don't have unlimited funds, but that's the issue really. I actually am just REALLY indecisive and I feel like I have tons of time! But thanks for all the great vibes! I can feel them already!

I have booked, rh, church, dj, and video/photo...and I agree that you should just go at your own pace..and according to your bank account. I have friends that are getting married after me and they have booked everything! There are many wonderful vendors to choose from. So I say....don't sweat it....

I feel the same way I am planning from OOT and just picked my RH. I am still waiting to receive the contract in the mail... which is making me a bit paniky as I ordered my STD magnets already since there was a huge sale at vista print and I got 100 of them for $23 (including s.h).
I have done lots of research and picked my colors but nothing else. I need to wait till I go down to Ny again in a month to choose photography, DJ and hair/ makeup stylist.
I also blocked hotels. I am waiting to get the confirmation from them though.... so many things still in the air... AH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

honestly before i registered for this site I didnt give anything much thought. then after reading everyones posts about how they have everything booked and i only had my RH and Church i quickly got off my *** and booked appointments with all of these places.
I then realized that i needed to calm down and tell myself my wedding is 13 months away and i need not panic and neither do you. so as of right now i have RH, church and DJ. Im not picky and have no vendors on my must have list so im gonna take it easy for a couple months and then ill start again. I also have my STD's but only bc 90% of my family lives in Scotland and England and they need as much time as possible to plan and FH family lives all over the country.
Dont fret dear. Its no biggie. Like everyone said, unless theres some vendor you absolutely must have dont worry about it.

All I have booked is my RH....I'm father behind then you are. Believe me I know how you feel. I really feel stressed and I'm having trouble making decisions on venders.

I hate to say it but we're just about done, dress, church, hall, flowers, photo and video, linens, music and entertainment and the dresses for the girls. All we have left is the cake, invitations, programs, menu cards, favors and limos, but I think I'm a little ahead of the game since we've been planning for a little while. Just take everything at your own pace, don't rush into booking vendors, definitely find someone you like and whom you feel comfortable with, things will fall into place.

I have the same thing you have done, church, RH and Photo. Almost there with the DJ, Im working on my dress now.... Don't worry I don't think you are behind at all. Take your time and enjoy it!
