I won tickets to see the Smithereens and tickets to see the Charlatans (Charlatans UK)
off WLIR/DRE
my dad wins all the time...on WHLI - am station...and in HS he had to drive me to school b/c I broke my foot and he would always make me wait for the morning question...
one morning it was 'who played the teenage angst ridden girl in Beetlejuice'
I was probably the only young person listening and my dad won Bob Hope tickets...
but he has won dinners, opera tickets, the Temptations...so many countless tickets...(you can only win 1 x every 90 days...so he will say his name is his BIL if its less than 90 days - and they will go together)

Re: What have you won off the radio?
I used to win occasionally on LIR: dvd's, cds, dinner. Fleetwood Mac tix for like the 3rd row, which I sold on Ebay . Last thing I won was Uncle Kracker tix at the Downtown.
Oh and a ski trip, all the winners got the bus ride there. that was fun..

Re: What have you won off the radio?
Many years ago, say 1993 I guess, I wond tickets to see Mariah Carey in concert at the Meadowlands. I gave my tickets to a friends because I couldn't go that night!
In 1994, I won tickets to see Pearl Jam at Madison Square Garden. Went with a roommate and had an awesome time.
My friends husband listens to WPLJ all day at work and is always winning their contests. In October 2001, he guessed the star in the car and won a Jeep Libery with $5000 cash!

Re: What have you won off the radio?
I won tickets to see Pearl Jam at the Paramount Theater in 1994 from X107. I had to name all the members of the band. I had a CD, so I just read them off of that.

Re: What have you won off the radio?
I won 3 years ago my CAR from WBLI.
Had to pay for the sales tax on the car as well as income tax on the sticker value at the end of the year.
I won a Hyundai Santa Fe SUV ( I think it was the first year it came out) and I love it!!!!!!
