What I realized yesterday while shopping for clothes...

So I remember about 5 years ago I was talking to my friends about which era had the worst clothing. We all said the 80's.

While shopping yesterday I realized that EVERYTHING I'm buying these days is 80's style. Long, off the shoulder shirts, Ray Ban Risky Business sunglasses, 80's style belts, etc.

I'm going to look back on 15 years and want to kick myself for buying everything I used to think was hideous. I know it.

It's just time to give up and join in. Hand me a banana clip, a big shirt so I can tie it to the side and some slouch socks because I've already got my leggings!

Amen. Next thing you know we'll be buying puffy paint and making t-shirts.

OH! And TODAY I saw a 'Button your FLY' shirt in Urban Outfitters. Remember those shirts?!?!?!?!? (Those were in in the 90's)

OMG...i soooo remember them!! How about the loony toons tshirts with them dressed like Criss Cross on the front and back...had a ton of those

well i just got in the mail the bloomingdales catalog for fall and it was alot of 60's type style but not nice things though, i was looking through it like UGH i hate just about everything in it

YESSSSSSSSSSSS. I can't stand it either! IIIIII just went on a rant about it the other day to FH!!! There's no such thing as a 'formal' pair of shorts!

it's funny I was in a theater costume class in college and the professor said all styles repeat themselves and talked about how the 80's will be coming back and everyone thought she was a crackhead but she was right, but still a crackhead.

i have yet to buy the leggings...i know i will give in sometime soon but i cant picture myself putting those things back on LOL i hate my legs to begin with and cant picture myself wearing something so tight fitting all the way around them haha

ok heres one time i wore these shorts to a club. Ive worn them another time too and then one time to paddy's in LI with a wife beater and one of those tops you put on top kinda tight on the stomach area but looser on top and sleeves are big

You know what else I saw ALLLLL over the store? Civil War-esque looking clothes. AWFUL. All the big designers are doing these AWFUl things. Let me find some examples.

see I totally get it. And they're comfy when you're out b/c you don't have to worry about anyone catching a peek your 'yum-yum' . FH says just wear a skirt w/ shorts underneath..oh shoot that made me just think of an ensemble

i always wear skirts with shorts underneath...ive worn shorts to a club only about 3 times-once to bridgeview yacht club and outside club by the water, 2nd time paddy's an outside place by the water right next to bridgeview lol and 3rd time to myst lol.

ok ladies who remembers when you used to wear biking shorts underneath your skirts? Oooh then they started making them with the biking shorts attached! Later then you had the beeeeautiful SKORT...can't wait for that to return
