my invitations went out 2 wks ago... it is now 10 wks to wedding date
what if some ppl (parents friends or acquaintances that we dont see too often) forget our wedding date?
what if they rsvp yes but then dont show?
should i had waited to send the invites?

Dont most people mark the date on their calendars- especially when they rsvp to something. I think it was smart to mail them now - its a busy season. I wouldnt worry about people forgetting the date- im sure their waiting for the day

I've had a lot of weddings this past year.. I keep the invitation hanging on my fridge and calendar it... and I got most of the invitations about 2 -3 months in advance...so far I havent forgotten anyones (even those I dont see often) so you should be ok!

Ahh it's a Catch 22! If you don't send them out early people take forever to RSVP causing major headaches and may have already made plans for that date. If you send them out too early people forget and make other plans or just don't show! Damned if you, damned if you don't! Don't worry, if they forget, you probably wouldn't want them there anyway!

umm this thought had never entered my mind. I know I would be excited and not forget, but people are strange...

maybe our no shows forgot.
I dont know. I think responsible people don't forget. I mark things like that on my calendar, or have the invite on the fridge. Dont stress!!!
But, when you give your headcount, give less!!! People back out last minute or dont show. I think it happens to everyone. You can always add people, but you cant get your money off by taking off people!

I sent mine out last week. And in Jan. I sent out Save the Dates. Allllll my people know when and where. I just pray that the ones I really dont want there will have forgetten about the date, and when they get the respnse say 'Oh man, I made plans already. Cant come' From my mouth(fingers) to gods ears
