ETA - I'm looking for info to put on a separate card, in the same envelope with the STD magnet... not the info to put on the magnet itself!
What information did you include with your STDs? Did you include the location of the reception hall? On the STD magnet, I'm just putting 'Long Island, NY' (Many of our OOT guests have never been to NYS, so the name of the town would be meaningless -- plus, the church and RH are in two different towns...)
I think I am getting matching folding cards printed with our STD magnets. In the cards, I will print the information re: the hotel we block rooms at and also other hotels in the area. Anything else I should include? How should it be worded?
We have many OOT guests who have never been to NY!

i would suggest making a wedding website and have the place put it on ur magnet
on the site put all the info about the wedding ....thats what I did since I am having a DW....it has been very helpful to my guests

We put our wedding website url on the magnet. The website lists all of the hotel info and things to do on LI. We also included a hotel card in the actual STD envelope.

Usually on the Save the date, its just the date ...
going back i hateeeeee this pic of me! i look like such a kid! and thank gosh my bangs grew out be4 my wedding!
I liked this idea, because it was announcement, a picture, and a dave the date all in one!

but yeah i would create a wedding website, and do the hotels near the RH. do it here on LIW, its so easy! plus, on your invite, your going to have a little piece of paper saying the rooms you blockef at hotels....
i was trying to attach it but its too big! sorry!

I am from FL and live in FL. My dad is in Colorado and my family is in Maine. I just put the date & our names on the magnet, like this one. I included business cards that I made with the hotel info on it and included it in the envelope.
Oh, a wedding web site is a great idea! I forgot about that!
We have a lot of OOT guests, so I wanted to make sure to get them the hotel info, etc... I think I'll include a note about where we blocked hotel rooms and then direct them to our wedding web site for more information.

We made up a wedding website to basically keep everyone up to date as far as adding accomodations. What we did was we had the regular STD made with the normal STD info. and printed up another sheet giving them information on the accomodations and how to go about makind reservations.
