So how is everyone addressing their envelopes with calligraphy, computer calligraphy, your own handwriting, or labels?

Re: What invitation addressing style are you?
I used computer calligraphy. So many have commented on how beautiful they came out! It was a pain to feed each envelope through the printer but the end result was worth it!

I had to do that with my E-party invites because the invite was so small I had my FSIL feed each one into the computer. I'm dreading having to type every address down. But I guess it'll work out okay. We hand wrote the E-party invite. I refused to go nuts over it.

Re: What invitation addressing style are you?
My mother will kill me if I don't have the invitations done by a caligrapher. So that's what we'll do. My father had to do the addressing for all my cousin's invitations on the computer, and he doesn't want to do it again!

Re: What invitation addressing style are you?
I want calligraphy and one of my BM can do it as well as the pros for much less but FH is annoyed with her and doens't want to give her the business! Otherwise I think I'll go with the person my invite lady uses- computer printed but she deals with the headaches!
My list is already on the computer so that's one less thing for me to do! I love calligraphy but don't think it's worth paying all that much!

I used hand calligraphy. Janna posted her invitation envelope that I sent her. FM me if you need any info.
My FI and BM did the calligraphy - they came out great! I was the stamper, licker and stuffer-ugh.

We are printing our labels off the computer. I could really care less about how 'proper' it is. That's me.

I did mine myself on the computer using ink color and fonts to match the invites. They came out really well, they were easy to do, and I got lots of compliments!
A tip to anyone doing this: Make your guest list in excel with seperate colums for the names, street address, and city/state/zip. You can use the envelope function in word to create the envelope and import the data directly from excel. It makes printing the envelopes SOOOOOO EASY!

I'm planning to use the computer, that's good to know, thanks!!
Is it better to print onto the envelope or onto a clear label to put on the envelope?

I went straight to the envelope. I like the look better, and it give you more freedom with the layout on the envelope. Another piece of advice - use a 'J' feed printer. I ended up buying a $40 printer for my envelopes because my other printer is a 'U' feed printer and is scrunched the envelopes up. It was a well-spent 40 bucks (less than the ink for the other printer!).
