Pardon my ignorance despite the number of times this delicious sounding term has been mentioned on the boards. But what exactly is a chocolate fountain and what does it do? I am not sure if it is what I think it is or is it something else. Evertime I see a mention of it, I envision a fountain spewing chocolate at someone's wedding. Am I wrong? Please clarify!

Re: What is a chocolate fountain?
You are right! but it doesn't spew, it is like a running fountain of melted chocolate, awesome!
The more detailed explanation is that it's a fountain of melted chocolate fondue, so that people can dip in strawberries, pieces of pound cake, anything really. The fountain keeps the chocolate circulating so that it doesn't cool and harden.

Re: What is a chocolate fountain?
when i spoke to tom from audreys bakery, he told me that it came with the vianese hour - which comes with the package when you book your wedding. it does not cost extra.

I just checked my literature because I thought that it was included and it is. Maybe its extra if you don't opt for the viennese hour but want to add one on?
