What is a tradition that you and your FH do during the holidays?

Halloween-
-Halloween parties
-pumpkin picking
-carving pumpkins
-EAT ALOT OF CANDY
-candy apples


Thanksgiving- eating a nice big meal at our parents
ONE YEAR TILL WE ARE MARRIED!!!!!!!

Christmas-
OUR FAVORITE HOLIDAY!!!
-Ice skating
-hot cocoa
-see the tree in NYC
-driving around looking for nice xmas lights
-decorating the tree
- CHRISTMAS MORNING...spoiling our dogs rotten and exchanging gifts
-Visiting family having the HUGE ITALIAN FEAST
with the fish every way you can make it, sauce, ziti, every dessert imaginable.. good thing i have CELIAC....

-make Xmas at our house for my little brothers and sisters
-fh loves putting up the Xmas tree bc he is Jewish and never had on growning up but he doesn't celebrate any Jewish days bc he doesn't want too since he did it for his parents and they now live in Florida

Sadly i don't know what the holidays store for us this year because my FH got a new job at the beginning of the year and they are open 365 days a year so he might be working the holidays which will totally break my heart!

-eat at my parents house but his parents are invited

-we open our first gift at midnight on christmas morning

Tgiving- ehhh hate this holiday. FH goes to his family and i go to my bitchy aunt in manhattan

Xmas

Buy a tree!!!!
Decorate - last year we just bought it ans never put one ornament on it lol
Decorate the house
Drive around and look at xmas lights!!!!
Go to his gparents xmas eve!!!! Exchange gifts w everyone
Xmas go to see my family bc theyre jewish and its the only day everyone is off together.
Also chanukah - my cousin has a big party and invites alllllll the cousins. Its so nice.

Halloween:

Thanksgiving:
WE eat alot of food with our families

Christmas My favorite
we exchange an ornament with each other
we go into the city and ice skate and see the tree
Xmas eve we go to his families house
then we sleep at my house along with my sister and her husband and we get matching Pjs and we wake up xmas morning all together and exchange gifts

New years eve
for the passed 4 new years we have been upstate at my parents house up there and we ride the snowmobile and snowboard then we have a big dinner

Halloween:
pumpkin picking followed by hot apple cider

Thanksgiving:
we usually rotate which year we spend with which family

Christmas!
(this is my favorite!!!)
Cut down a christmas tree together
Set it up, put on christmas carols and decorate the tree together with hot chocolate
drive around and look at lights
every year we go to the city and see the tree and go see a show (prob not this year though b/c we're saving money for the wedding)
bake christmas cookies (well I bake-he eats)
Christmas Eve we always go to FH's parents house where we celebarte with his entire family (about 30-40 people)
then we go home to our apartment, plug in the tree and go to sleep
Christmas Day: wake up early! open presents in our PJ's then drive to his parents house in our PJ's and open presents with his parents and sisters and eat christmas quiche.
Church
and then we go to my parents for Christmas dinner and usually spend the night

new years: party at FH's cousin's house

Christmas,- we always bake our holiday cookies together and give them out to friends and family!!!!
We split up our holidays every year to make sure we spend time with both sides.
We go to the botanical gardens for their Christmas train show.
Go see this weirdo house in the bronx that has dressed up manikins it was on the travel channel, so weird!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Halloween-
we go trick or treating with his nieces and newphews - we usually dress up in costumes and they aren't embarassed by this yet. lol


Thanksgiving-
we usually either spend it at his family or mine. we alterante between the years and overeat and play games with the families.

Christmas-
OUR FAVORITE HOLIDAY!!!
go see the Rockefeller center tree and the Bryant park tree - and go see the marker they set up in bryant park.
we're italian - we go crazy with christmas food! totally over eat!

Btw im in charge of stockings for my parents. Lol. FHs family doesnt do stockings so i always make him one and he always laughs at it bc i put in atupid things like slinkies and puzzles and socks!

I'll start from New Years then go on :)

New Years Eve : we get together with our closest friends and go to dinner then bar hop :)

Valentines day: I love it with him :) I always cook him dinner every year and we watch a sappy movie and cuddle<3

ST PATRICKS DAY (our favorite) - we get all decked out in green and go wherever the party is haha

Other holidays like Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving, we either eat at each others families then we do dessert at the other. We both have huge families, so its so nice to see everyone!

Halloween - I have a halloween party every year :)

I make juniors cheesecake from their cookbook. Takes forever but it's sooooo worth it and if I made it more than once a year FH would be 500 lbs since he eats the whole thing if I let him.

We do christmas eve at his parents and they have traditional portuguese food - HEAVEN.

this will be our first holiday season in OUR home so we will be starting our own traditions, I'm sure!

for example, we carved jack o lanterns this weekend since we have a porch to put them on
