I thought 60 to 80 was small and I understand that prices are lower, like for DJ and photographer for smaller weddings. I just saw a post for 125 called small.....maybe I can invite more people and still save money by being small?
How many guests are most of you having?

Re: What is considered a small wedding?
Sorry...I had 115 at my wedding and considered that small. It all depends on you and how much you can afford. I wish I could of had $200+ guest but because of $$ I cut down to 150 and 115 showed up.

We are having about 150 people. I always thought that 100 or less was considered small.

Re: What is considered a small wedding?
We're having a small wedding....about 75 people. It probably would have been alot more but my FH's side of the family consists of only 4 people lol.
None of the vendors were any cheaper because of a small wedding. Photographers, DJ, video are the same price as having 300 people. You choose whatever package suits your needs. The halls due offer a lower price but it is usually for a less extensive menu. If you want the same menu as a larger wedding you are paying the same price.
Thanks!!!

Re: What is considered a small wedding?
I definitely had two DJ's tell me they could work with my budget due to the small amount of guests, 75 - 80. I was surprised too, as I thought they were doing the same job for 80 as they would for 200. I hope.

That would be great if they could do that for you...just make sure they aren't cutting things out to give you the cheaper price : ) Good luck planning!!!!

Re: What is considered a small wedding?
I'm having a small wedding 80-100 people - I got a great price not because of the size but because I booked my place only 4 months in advance.

Re: What is considered a small wedding?
We're going to have about 150-200. I think over 100 is a big wedding.

Re: What is considered a small wedding?
We invited 80 and 65 showed up. The only vendor that was cheaper was the Watermill, since we had the smallest rooms, the price pp was less. The DJ, photographer, officiant were not less expensive b/c it was small. The flowers were less also b/c we had only 6 tables.

Re: What is considered a small wedding?
As of right now we have 100 on our guest list. Our minimum is 80. I consider this small.
