What is everyone Budget for HM?

What is a decent budget to spend on a Honeymoon? Is $5,000 too much?

My budget was 5k.... keyword 'was'... I went over!! I swear FH made me. Anyhow I think 5k is a good budget

ets: depends on where you are planning on going as well and the airfare.

well..we didnt really set a budget. We are going to Ireland so we are spending about $3500 each. I think its justified because we'll be seeing another country! in other words...I wouldnt spend that much to lay on a beach...jmo

We haven't even thought about it yet, but we're not going far so hopefully we won't spend TOO much, we'll be gone like 10 days but who knows, we haven't done ANYTHING with the honeymoon yet, and now I'm starting to get nervous cause I've totally let that slip!!

I think we said around $5k. I wasn't supposed to have anything to do with the planning so FH went over by $1k because he booked the biggest suite. I'm happy he did

It really all depends on how long you're planning on going and where.

I think it depends where you are going and where you are staying.
Our Hm was 8600 for both of us to go to Bora Bora and Moorea for 12 nights!

We did not put a budget on our HM ... and we won't !!!!!!! Just getting away from our four kids for a week is going to be the best for both of us !!! Don't get me wrong we love our kids ...but we need a break !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we didnt put a budget and we ended up spending 10-12K on 12 nights in hawaii and napa valley - that is without plane tickets and without incidentals once we're there!

I don't even know what ours will be...all I know is that Greece isn't as cheap as it used to be before the Euro, eep.

We really didn't have a budget we just started searching for nice hotel w/great air time. We spent $3,600 I believe. I think it all depends where is your destination

We said no more then $4,000 and we came in at $3,900.

we are spending 10K for 12 nights in antigua and st. lucia (that incl. flights, hotels, and ALL food and drinks) so I guess thats all inclusve!!

We are saying no more than 4000..we are planning to go to Riviera Maya and I am pretty sure we can stay under 4K..just barely.
