What is everyone doing for favors?
We're making donations in memory of our fathers and making a 'scroll' using parchment paper and tying it w/ either organza ribbon or raffia... Now I'm thinking that maybe I should have something small to attach the scroll to! Any ideas for an *inexpensive* (under $2.00) favor?? EEK! This is what I get for not going away this weekend! Hee Hee! Thanks!! :)

I went to a wedding where they made a donation, and gave each guest a small box of Godiva chocolates attached to the scroll.

Thanks, Teri...I was thinking of candy myself...
Small boxes of Godiva are $3.00 each. I was actually thinking about maybe doing chocolate covered cherries - mmmm, my fave. So now I'm on the hunt to see if I can find favor boxes and cherries for under 2 bucks...in 5 weeks. LOL :)

What we are doing
We are having a fall theme at our wedding and giving small leaf shaped glass bottles of maple syrup to our guests. We will also be using potted flowers rather than cut for our centerpieces and letting the guests take those home too.

Candles
We are thinking about small candles from the Yankee Candle Company. They are $2.00 each and you can customize your lables and pick from over 60 fragrances. I have the catalog, but check out www.yankeecandle.com

Chocolates
Leonidas chocolates are less expensive for 2 truffles packaged in a little box ($2.00 for 2) and they are my personal favorite. My MOH used them at her wedding earlier this year. I know for a fact there are 2 locations that sell them in Manhattan at 51st and Madison and also at Park and 45th. I`m sure there are more places but I happened to work near these locations (and of course stopped by alot :o)) Good luck & best wishes ladies

I found a website (www.bulkfoods.com) that has them for $12.49 for 48 w/ free shipping!! They have all 7 flavors to choose from - we're doing 4 flavors - 4 Lindor balls per guest... 110 *favors* for about $150!! I'm so glad we're doing it! I ordered my organza bags (38 cents each), I'll order the truffles next week (they won't ship until mid-September due to weather). My donation scrolls are beautiful (thanks, mom!) and won't look so *tiny* when I attach them to the bag! Another happy day!! :)

Made them myself!
We put mulberry candles in clear glass votive holders shaped like flower-pots. I tied white tool around them with a burgundy ribbon and tied a small bunch of green/purple latex grapes to the ribbon. (We are getting married in wine country so we thought this would be a nice touch)

Lindt Kathi Check the Source Store
They have the bulk packages for $10.00 and they are in stock. I was just in there today. They also have a box of 3 truffels for $1.95.

What is everyone doing for favors?
I am having 8 ounce champagne bottles. They are $1.50 and the labels (which you can put whatever you want on them) are free.

Forced Bulb Kits
Not 100% sure but I will probably do 'forced bulb kits' where I will include a bulb that can be forced indoors, some stones, a container to grow them in and directions on how to do it. I got this idea from Martha Stewart. Has anyone does this before??? Any tips?
