What is everyone doing for their vows?
So I talked to my officiant today and he says he has a book of vows we can look through or we can make up our own. I went on the internet and found some bits and pieces of vows that I liked and pieced them together.
I saw another bride on here who is already married did something really cool where she and her husband alternated phrases with the vows instead of saying all his and then all hers. It was really cute, so I think I might do the same!
I have not talked to FH yet about this (and need to do that), but this is what I came up with. Just wondering what you think of this and what everyone else is doing?
Today I marry my friend (Debi)
The one I laugh with (Fred)
The one I cry with (Debi)
The one I truly love (Both)
As we stand here before God and our family and friends
I, Frederick William Schmidt, Jr. freely pledge myself to you in marriage
Making a solemn covenant in front of all these witnesses

I, Deborah Elizabeth Lapp, freely pledge myself to you in marriage
Making a solemn covenant in front of all these witnesses
With the Lord’s help (Fred)
