We got our moms the jewelry they wore to the wedding, we got FIL a nice tuxedo studs & cufflink set and we got my dad a good wallet.

Good question..Im wondering the same thing. My FMIL has way too expenisve taste..i couldnt possibly afford the Jewelry she would wear at our wedding..so Im stressed about what to get them!

I got them both Swarofski jewelry. My mom's was colored and MIL's was the clear.
I have to confess that I knew what my mom wanted, and I got MIL what I wanted her to wear to the wedding, after seeing what she'd chosen for herself. MIL didn't want to 'upset' me so she wore what we got her. Not very nice, but I really didn't think what she picked out matched.
