What is everyone's Wedding Dress Budget

I'm bit stuck on how much i should be wasting on a dress.
My original Budget was 3,000 but don't know if i can find something good at that price. I love the Ines Di Santo dresses and those prices are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy OVER my budget..

What are you girls planning on spending or already spent on your dress..

I plan on spending less than 1,000, especially since this is a dress that you'll really be wearing for only a few hours...

You can also try looking into wedding salons... where they basically allow you to 'rent' a gown for a fraction of the price...

Always something to think about... but if you really feel like it's something you want to keep... then maybe it's worth the investment..

I got lucky and found a dress at the running of the brides for $300..I just couldnt see spending thousands of dollars on a dress I would wear for a day.

same here!! My budget was $3000 and my mom actually offered to pay for the dress. But luckily, my sister and I went to the Running of the Brides for fun and found my dress for $700! Now I'm not even going to bother my mom for the $...maybe the alterations

Wow i need to get some info on the running of the brides. I already thought 3,000 was alot of money for a dress. that i will never wear, again and i actually dont think i will be sentimental over it either.

Just that what i like doesn't seem to be in the range (which is very form fitting on top, drop waist or Mermaid style, Big at the bottom, BLING!!!!

My mom is paying for my dress but WITH alterations, she would like to not go above $2000

Ideally $800 w/all alterations etc. But the max i will spend is $1,000

My budget was 2000 with alterations but I got a great deal with my gown and with alterations and the fancy bustle that i want i believe i will be at about 1500. BTW my parents paid for my dress so i didnt want to get to crazy

My mom is paying for my dress and the alterations so she wants to stay under 3,000. I am going to try to stay around 2,000.

I am paying under $1000 for my dress. $1000-1500 was the most I woudl spend though. that was my limit.

I really didnt have a budget in mind.. But my gown is $1375 without alt/bustle. So i might end up spendin total: $1600 for my dress after its said and done

I was only planning on spending about $1500, but I fell in love with a Piccione dress that fits me perfectly! It was about 3200, and I got it down to $2625- only problem...its in Syracuse

I think it's one day and I dont want to spend crazy amounts. I would love to keep it under 1500, but would realllly love to keep it under 1000!

maybe you could try looking into trunk sales. i got my dress at a kenneth pool trunk sale, so saved 15%.

everything including, my dress, veil, bra and underskirt and tiara and blusher veil cost me about $1500.
i still havenb't bought the shoes or aleterations.

I'm HOPING not to go over $1500.

I was married before and let me tell you, spending that much $ on the dress still sorta burns me, even if I didn't pay for it.

I have to tell everyone this story.

So back in 95 I went to Kleinfeld's. yes...that was like another lifetime ago. So, anyway, here we were, spending $2900 on a dress back then which my Mom almost had a coronary over..I'm getting my 1st fitting and there's this girl and her Mom there. She was buying a super couture gown.

After talking w her for a bit, I found out that she was from Chicago. (They don't have bridal stores there?) and that they were staying in Manhattan and Kleinfeld's sent a car for them...and her dress was $11,000! ***?

Anyway I actually hated her weird *** dress but that's me I guess. She was a super bridezilla and her Mom was far worse than her.

We left and talked about those 2 for months after.
