I am meeting photographers this week...and I want to be prepared with a list of what I want. So far I have:
-2 photographers (so in the morning there will be one with me, one with FH) -Rights to all photos -Unmarked printed proofs -Our album -2 parent albums

an engagement shoot a sign in board smaller photos (8x10, 5x7) etc... thank you cards I got a larger album (12x12)

I would also ask how many photos/pages are included in the album. This was something I learned from FSIL because they didnt ask and she ended up paying a TON extra to add more. We're also getting a blow up of one of our E-pics for the table when you first walk in.

epictures, ty cards, enlargments, online album so guests and parents can buy prints and view pictures

all of the above and also.........
1. ask if you get an unlocked high resolution CD of all your photos that way you can make additional prints using shutterfly or something if you want.....some photographers give you the CD but its locked for a certain amount of time....that was a must for me
2. if your doing video ask if you get all the raw footage
3. how many copies of the DVD you get
4. how many hours do you get them for?
5. on average how many pictures do they take? i made mine write into the contract that there will be at least 1000 shots taken.
6. what is the overtime fee? in case you want them to come earlier than you have planned now
7. What will be the turn around time on getting your proofs back....will your proofs have the company stamp in the middle? I saved $ by not doing a professional album, i'm gonna use my proofs and then make a shutterfly album....i'm just not into the big leather ones.
ETA: 8. Ask about digital touch ups....make sure that touch ups or special effects like teeth whitening are included for the pics you do get prints of or for your album

This is what we got:
- DVD - two photographers from 12 noon to 12 midnight - all our pics posted online (with photographer's stamp on bottom of each pic) - high resolution CD with all our pics (withOUT the photographer's stamp on each pic) - 3 albums (one for us, one for my parents and one for his)
I got married in early October and so far I have received the online link and the CD. The album is almost complete - I just finishing proofing the layout last night.

5 8 by 10's STD (free) Thank you cards Engagement Photo Banner hung at RH (free) Album comes as 8 by 10 but we upgraded Engagement session (free) CD of photos All photos printed 4 by 6 Photos for emailing Unlimited Photos (B/W, Color, Sepia)
Not sure if I forgot anything but that's it for the most part

we are getting similar to yours... 2 photographers all proofs 10x10 digital magazine album 3 parent albums (FH's parents are divorced)
we are also getting: engagement shoot w/ album thank yous (as many as we need) a few enlargements (11x17, etc) also getting Video through them as well w/ DVD's.
