I'm cutting it today and FH has given me nothing but grief about it. you would think he would support me because i don't feel attractive the way my hair is now (just so plain)... and i know cutting it will make me feel better!! why's he being such a jack a s s????
anyone else run into this?

omg! tracy - dh is exactly the same way! he said if i cut it off... grounds for divorce! kidding of course but he loves my hair long. this is the shortest i have ever had it (shoulder length) and he isn't so pleased.. but i could give a crap! he's not the one who has the hassle of having to blow it out everyday!

actually, the total opposite! LOL mine wanted me to cut my hair...after having had it with my long hair, I CHOPPED it ALL off, right under my ears! it's gorwing out now and he tells me that he can't wait for it to grow out lol jack ass is right.. I've also had 038283402984 dif hair colors! lol he loves that though b/c everytime I change my haircolor it changes my overall appearance.. and his friends would think that I was someone else! Lol

I hear ya, I just had my hair and dyed lighter.....I had 4 guys who have only seen me once at my job comment that they like it. AND ACTUALLY NOTICED IT WITHOUT ME EVEN SAYING ANYTHING. When I told them I cut 3' off too they were all why?....My hair is still mind-length though.

Any guy who knew me in HS (hair down to my waist) says I should grow my hair out again. Anyone that knows me only with short hair says NOT to grow it out.

Well I love my hair long always and I don't think I will every cut it short. When I say I need to get a hair cut, in my case meaning a trim, right away he starts asking me why?.

Nevermind FH not wanting me to cut my hair (it comes just past my shoulders) my DAD wants my hair long.
Then again, my dad wants it long and in a French braid and me in a turtleneck so I look like I did in jr. high

I cant stand my hair any shorter than being able to stick it in a ponytail. That's my only length requirement. I dont care if it's a short stubby pointed pigtail.. i have to be able to pull it back.
with that being said.. my FH could care less.. but YES he likes my hair long..
Minus the hair on the carpet. Minus hair in the laundry Minus Hair in this face if I flick it while I sleep.
At least I clean out the tub drain when Im done!!!

My step monster once took me to a salon (she lied to my father and me.. said we were going for pizza along with my stepsister) and she had the lady cut all my hair off.. to within inches of my scalp.. then told them to perm it. I cried through the whole thing.. The poor lady at the salon felt horrible.. she kept trying to say that i needed some length, my stepmother had none of it.. said 'I pay you, do it'.. Father freaked out when he saw me!!! She was never allowed to touch my hair again.
I as sooooo depressed. That is the year I mean my best friend (MOH). To this day, she'll tell you the reason she first started talking to me was she felt bad for me.. I looked like a Q-tip that went through a dryer.
My hair has never been short since.
Needless to say.. nothing really improved with me and 'mom'.. but we're civil these days.. *ahem* Just can't WAIT for the wedding!
