What is the $$$ amt for the

state stamp tax and city transfer tax?

i have 2 closing costs estimates and the #'s for these fees differ on the estimates. i thought it was a said price. can't seem to find it online.

It is a set charge.

The New York State transfer tax is $2 per $500. (ex. selling house for $500,000- the transfer tax = $2000)

The New York City transfer tax varies by the price and also the classicification.

1- Is it over or under $500,000
2- What's the tax classification.
