I think it's when you get all the married couples on the dance floor, and you start eliminating them by how long they've been married, starting with those couples who have been married less than 24hrs (you and hubby), then months, then years, etc. Until the longest married couple is left dancing and they get the brides bo-k or some other gift. I think that's it.

Re: What is the Anniversary dance???
Thanks!!
Yes DH took off my garter, then we did ANNIV dance, they were the last couple dancing (i think they are married 53 yrs?) then I handed her bo-k, John handed him garter, the dj sat them down, then palyed a song for them to do the garter placing. Everyone loved it so much and the older couple was SOOOO surprised and SOOO happy!

Re: What is the Anniversary dance???
We did it also and received so many compliments about it, because people thought it was great that we were honoring people who had been married the longest!!

Re: What is the Anniversary dance???
I really like the idea of the anniversary dance, but my FH's parents are divorced. Can I still do the anniversary dance????????

Re: What is the Anniversary dance???
i think i'm going to do the anniversary dance instead of the regular bo-k and garter toss.
the only problem i might have is fh grandpa who's wife died 2 years ago and he'll probably get upset. i have to talk to fmil about and see what she thinks. i don't want him crying at my wedding, ya know.
