What is the average cost of a bridal shower per person?
My mom and BMs have been asking me where I'd like to have mine (they are so amazing!!!) but I don't want them to break the bank!

It really depends. Chinese is the cheapest and I know of places that range from $9-20. If you want it at a restaurant be prepared to pay $24-75 pp without tax and gratuity.

there really is no average price....it depends on location, how many people, etc. call a few places and ask what price per person is....

I gave my cousin a shower two years ago at my house. If you have a house suitable for entertaining it is very nice idea. I hired two servers and a caterer. My cousin loved it. The servers were $70 each for 5 hours and the caterer cost me 30.00 per person.

I was just about to post this question!!!! I found a restaurant that went for about $15 per person and I was excited! But with all my bridesmaids being from upstate, I feel bad asking for about $100 per BM.
I was a BM for my SIL and I was never asked for money for the shower, but for my best friend I needed to give $75 per BM and her family made most of the food.
I'd like to know what others are asking and how many bridesmaids they have. And if they've been BM in weddings in other areas. I know that LI is a rough price area and I'm trying to figure out if I should offer to pay for some of the shower because I'm the idiot getting married here.

I have seen as low as 16.95 and as high as like $50 pp

Check out Milleridge Inn in Jericho. Their food is supposed to be great and they have a lot of differnt sized rooms in the main building. I almost had my wedding at the Carriage House...
I was pricing it for my MOH shower but the other BM were cheap and her mom wasn't helping. I think that this is where my shower will be held but I'm not sure. They range from $35-$45 per guest if I rememeber correctly and I just love the old-world feel of the place.
I think $100 per BM isn't too bad if they know your mom can't pay for all of it. They did agree to be in your BP. Tho I hear from my European friends that the mom pays for 100% of the shower, which my mom can't do and she never heard of before. Personally, right now I wish I only had my 2 MOH and I paid for the shower! Everyone has such different views on thie wedding cr@p!

my shower was at my aunts house, and everyone said it was the nicest shower they've been to. it was laid back, relaxed, there were like 30 people there... it was at like 2 on a sunday, so they just had a caterer do sandwiches and salads and lighter stuff like that..... my BMS did a video with my fiance asking him questions about our relationship which was soo funny, and my sister did ' poppers' where, when i opened each guests present, they had to read a funny/joke quote... kept people entertained and just something different than bridal bingo.... i think each of my 4 BMs put in $75 for the shower- and that included the joint gift.... my mom paid for some, too....

I paid $12/person at a Mexican restuarant.It included lunch & non-alcoholic drinks. I bought the cake separate, but they cut & served it for me.

My shower is there in two weeks (its not a suprise obviously). Ill let you know how it is. I heard its great. I think my mom is paying 26 pp.
