What is the average cost of a 'Day Of' Coordinator?
I'm meeting with one soon and I want to be able to tell if she's over charging me. Thanks!

Do not pay more than $500 if they are going to be coordinating by themselves. Try Laura from LA productions i here she is very good.

Other things to consider: - will they coordinate your rehearsal? - do you meet with the DOC before the day? - number of and length of meetings? - will they confirm your vendors?
Most importantly, do you and FH trust this person to make your wedding as stress-free as possible?

I think it depends what they will be doing for you...is it just the day of, with a limited # of meetings before the wedding; or are they basically at your disposal in the weeks leading up to the wedding? Will they stay at your wedding the entire time, or do they leave after cake cutting? Will the be at the RD if you are having one?
I think prices can range to a few hundred to $1,500...

I'm paying $800 (but I booked her almost a year ago so I'm not sure if her prices have gone up) and she is confirming all of my vendors, she will coordinate (along with an assistant) my rehearsal and then the day of the wedding. Also, she will probably assist me with items that I haven't purchased yet, like programs, cry packs, etc. Basically, she's doing everything I don't want to have to deal with on the day of the wedding and will handle any emergencies (hopefully none!) that may come up.

It depends on what they're doing for you and also how much experience they have. A lot of planners who are just starting out will have lower prices because they're looking to develop a client base and word-of-mouth recommendations. For the people I interviewed, the range was from around $900 all the way up to $2000.
