What is the average price for a tiara and veil?

When I went to Bridal Reflections last month, I saw a veil that I liked with a tiara for about $550 total. Is that reasonable? I have no idea how much either should cost!

I bought my tiara from EBAY for $ 10.00

Now that I think about it, I Ebay'ed my veil as well! $30 It is brand new, elbow length, double tiered, pencil edged, and has rhinestones! (Sorry no photo)

I got my tiara from ebay also for about $80 and my veil at a local bridal salon for $50. I think BR has a tremendous mark-up (got my gown there and they were pushing a $300 comb on me!)

A lot of women here have luck at that tri-county place and there's a headpiece place on Sunrise hwy in the bellmore/massapequa area. (I'm sorry I cannot remember the name)

It varies greatly.

The designer/couture tiaras & headpieces from the salons will cost over $300 easily. I paid close to $600 for my tiara, but I didn't negotiate either.

(It's a Nelson D'Leon and I purchased it from Iman Bridal Couture.)

But I do have some sort of demented reasoning behind my extravagant purchase...I collect costume jewelry and won't hestitate spending a few hundred on a piece. I won't be wearing any jewelry on my wedding day except for earrings, so why shouldn't I treat my tiara as a piece of 'collectible' costume jewelry.

I think my veil was 150 and my tiara was 50. I bought the veil at davids Bridal and teh Tiara off of ebay.

my tiara is $50 (ebay), and the veil i might get is $75-$100 (tri county or patchogue floral)

Mine came to about $300 for both. I bought them at the bridal salon where I got my dress. I probably could have gotten them cheaper if I had shopped around, but I just wanted to get it the easist way possible.

i got 3 tairas off ebay ($31 each) and a veil ($21.50) off of ebay as well.
They aven't arrived yet, so I don't know if they ar the final purchases on this matter - but I think they could be - and the toal of all of this was about $100 with shipping and insurance!

ummm... I spent $600 on both

the tiara is 5 layers of Sworsky crystals in clear, ice blue, periwinkle and lilac.

The veil is a blusher, an elbow length and a cathedral length.... the cathedral length has the matching crystal detail.

wow. I wish I would have gone to ebay

I paid $220 for my veil and tiara. However, that was before I new about this board and the great bargains out there! Keep looking!

Mine were about $150 each at David's Bridal - I love them both so much I didn't want to keep looking!

Haven't got the headpiece yet, don't know what I want. I got the veil off ebay for $35.

I'm borrowing mine from one of my bridesmaid's -- she got it at bridal couture - it's a Fenaroli - she paid over $600 so she's thrilled that it's getting worn twice! (and I'm thrilled that I'm not spending $600!)
