valentines gift that you have ever recieved? Doesnt matter how big or small..........
For me it was tickets to a broadway show that DH got for me........oh and proposing!

We're not big on V-day, mainly because he is ALWAYS working on V-Day...so I would have to say a nice fat steak dinner somewhere with a bottle of wine was prob the best....

I have to say it was when I came home from work and my honey had a beautiful romantic dinner ready for me when I walked in the door.He had the candles lit & the music playing and the dinner ready & flowers and chocalates and a beautiful card. Edited to say :And a bottle of wine!

Mine is a bit funny.
Last year I was reaallly looking forward to Valentine's Day...it was our first V-Day with everyone knowing we were a couple, and I was looking forward to it being really cool.
Well, FH (then my boyfriend) got me a pair of sneakers. Yes that's right, a romantic mushy card, and a pair of Nike's. I was a little put off, thought it was funny but not exactly the gift I had expected. I smiled, I liked the sneakers, and wore them enthusiastically.
I found out 3 weeks later why I only got sneakers....because he had literally JUST come from the jeweler the day before picking out my engagement ring!
Now I will never throw those sneakers out, no matter how dumpy they get!!

When John gave me a beautful gold & diamond necklace I saw at our jeweler & $1000.00 to buy myself what I wanted, it was perfect for me that year to buy clothes

LOl that was sorta like my Christmas. He obviously didn't spend a lot on me for xmas... got books, dvd's and small stuff..... meanwhile i spend around $400 (his b-day is day after xmas). Then on New Years i found out why he was so cheap!! (proposed).

FH wrote me the most beautiful letter ever last V-Day....It is, to this day, the most treasured gift that I have from him....(besides my ring, which I got seven days later in Italy)
Last year I had class on v-day...and when I got home at 9pm...he had a meal cooked for me (it was awful...but sweet!!)

I have to say, it was the dozen roses I got from my FH last year. I opened the box, without reading the card, and started to put the flowers in a vase. I got to the last rose, and I realized it was fake. I got kind of annoyed until I read the card. It said, 'These roses are for you, to show you how much I love you. The last one, is to show you, that, like this rose, my love for you will never die.'
**sigh**

My most memorable was probably our first, which was about 5 months after we met.
We had gone to Saks a few weeks prior to V-day. A beautiful Carolee mesh crystal choker caught my attention. Kevin offered to buy it for me just for the hell of it, but I declined.
On Valentine's Day, he handed me a Saks gift box. I opened it to find the Carolee choker that I had fallen in love with! Then he handed me another Saks gift box. I opened it to find a gorgeous Judith Jack necklace. He purchased me the X&O piece!!! 2 necklaces...one to dinner and then the other out to the clubs that night!!!
Our 2nd V-day he brought me back a pearl necklace and earrings from Asia.
