what is the best way to clean your e-ring?

I'm just so worried about ruining it! Not sure if it matters, but my ring is platinum. TIA!

One of my BMs made me a concoction of dish soap mixed w/ windex and told me to clean it weekly w/ a soft toothbrush.

i bought a sharper image jewelry steamer at BBB .. it doesn't get it as clean as the jeweler but makes it sparkle again

Don't use toothpaste!

Windex is definitely better. Our jeweler also gave us their cleaner so I use that when I can't get to them.

my friend told me getting your ring steamed isn't good because it loosens the diamonds! do we know if this is true?

I use this about once a week... I let it sit in there for about 30 seconds and then use a soft toothbrush to gently scrub it. Then I let it sit in some hot water in a little tupperware for a few minutes to loosen any gunk before I give it a final cold water rinse (while it's back on my finger). I am obsessed with keeping it clean because it has sooo many tiny crevices!!!

My jeweler said take half ammonia and half (clear) dish soap and mix it together. Let iyour ring soak for 2 minutes then take an extra soft toothbrush and scrub (paying very close attention to the bottom of the diamond). Then rinse with warm water. Again..he said I can use this because I have a platinum ring (I don't think you can use this with gold). I do it once a week and it is amazing!!!

I bring mine to Jared.. It's included in the lifetime warrenty & I can bring it as much as I want to

i have a steamer and it makes it sparkle like when I first got it... my friends also have it and no one has ever had problems with loose diamonds.

I bought a jewelery cleaning solution at BB& B and i soak it in that and it comes with a mini brush
It only costs like 4.99....3.99 with coupon and really makes a difference.

i bought a jewelry cleaner myself and might try it out but windex is interesting too. i'm just afraid of ruining it by buying the wrong product. thanks for all the suggestions!

I read to soak the ring in warm water with a little dish soap then gently brush with a soft toothbrush. I did this on my platinum ring and it worked great.

Mines platinum too. I bought jewelry cleaner (which comes with a tiny soft brush) from where the FI got my ring. I use that then I steam my ring off with water in my espresso maker.

Don't use an ultrasonic machine if you have pave of any kind it can loosen those small stones with all the vibration. Steam is safer. If you have no pave an ultrasonic is ok.

Water and dishwashing soap like palmolive is ok for everyday use, when your washing your hands give you ring a little scrub with your fingers maybe.

I just use windex. I usually put it on my q-tip and clean it that way.
