What is the best way to have guests sign in? (Poll)
What do you think guest are more likely to do and you are more likely to appreciate?
PS I saw #5 on this site. Its a great poem and a vase with colored index cards. Guests are asking to give advise for a long healthy marriage, just in case no one has seen it.

I selected Polaroid. I'd love to do this, just not sure how to coordinate it. Also, not sure half of the guestss would 'get' it.

I like the idea of a polaroid guest book, however, you should think about how many people will attend your wedding. With a pretty large wedding, and everyone coming in same time, it may be pretty time consuming, and most people would not end up signing it.

We are doing just a regular guest book though.

My guests flipped over my signature mat. I think almost everyone signed it and it now hangs in our foyer with our wedding picture in it.

Hmmm, I had wanted to do the Polaroid guest book, however, our minimum is 175...guess not. When/Where/How does a regualt guest book get done? The only wedding I was at that had one was FH's brother's, they had it set up on the same table as the placecards in the cocktail hour. But when I signed it, there were very few signatures in there. Hey! Just had a revelation...could I have my step-sisters go around and make sure everyone signs? They'll be 13 and 15 at my wedding!

We skipped the sign in all together. In all fairness everyone (except maybe your closest friends) writes the same thing. At our RD we had the signature plate ad there was enough room for our closest friends (BP members) and our parents to write us little messages and I now have it as the centerpiece of my kitchen table.

we're getting one of those oversized picture mattes from pottery barn for everyone to sign their names. Hopefully no one decides to write to much!

I said the plate...just don't know how you would actually have them sign it and how it would stay on.
Let me know how it works out!

I'm planning on the same. My friend did it years ago, and had everyone sign on really vibrant-colored pieces of paper, that she then had incorporated into an album. She even had a few of them framed in a collage in her living room.

I think thats true. All the wedding I've been to I dont think I ever signed a book. The polaroid will definetly get expensive and I think I would feel bad making someone stand there through cocktail hour. The plate is nice but there isn't much room on it. I think I like nferrandi idea and I like the signed picture mat. Thanks for the suggestions!
