digital and film photography. I am confused - one vender told me film is much better and another told me digital is just as good as film. They both made good points but I don't know what is true.
Nowadays, I think digital photography can definitely be just as good as film... It just depends on what you want. Obviously you can post digital pictures onto website and such without scanning.... I don't know all the technical differences though.
With digital, there is no negatives.. so in a sense, if the computer goes down or something, the pictures are gone. However, everything can be backed up onto CD and such. When digital first came out, the quality was no where near the quality of film, but now the professional camerals have extremely high resolution and pixel counts. You can do a lot more much easier with digital - such as the coffee table albums and special effects. They are also much easier to work with online, no scanning is necessary. But still, some people feel that digital still does not equal the quality of film. Its all a personal prefrence.
I like digital. My photographer gives me a CD with all the pics on it and he said I can burn as many copies as I want for my family & friends! That was my selling point!
