What is the difference between a.....

meat pounder and a meat tenderizer?

trivial question i know but..... i don't know the answer. Anyone?

I don't eat meat so I have no clue.....

I just asked my FH (yes, he's the cook around here). He said they are the ssame thing.

The Meat Tenderizer to be the one with teeth to cut in slightly to the meat for marinades and such.

The Meat Pounder is the flat headed one to flatten the meat with (spread out the meat)

hmmmmm, interesting. I only ask b/c i registered for the pounder and then saw the tenderizer and it was much cheaper. Only saw them on-line though so i couldn't tell what the dif was. Do I need both?
