What is the etiquette? If you invite them to the party...

Hi Gals,

So I've heard the rule that if you should only invite people to the shower that you plan on inviting to the wedding. But what about the Bachelorette party? I want to invite some co-workers to that, but not to the wedding. I don't want to be rude or come off like i'm looking for gifts. So what is the etiquette here??

I would keep all pre-wedding festivities to just people who are invited to the wedding...otherwise it may be looked at in poor taste.

Yeah sorry, but I think that I have to agree with the girls above...You really should not invite people to your bach party if they are not invited to the wedding. I mean how would you feel if you went to a girls bach party and had a great time with her and her friends... then they start BSin about the wedding and stuff while you are sitting there with nothing to say...

Its not cool JMO

I agree too, unless it's like a friend of a friend or something like that you know but wouldn't be expecting to come to the wedding. I always thought it was weird that guys would go on Bachelor Party weekends, but then not get invited to the wedding. Guys are weird though!

I'm sticking to the wedding invitees, however, I have been to a bachelorette party of a girl that wasn't able to invite everyone that she wanted. Didn't phase me. As long as the person knows the deal then I think it's fine.

I agree with the above posts. I am only inviting those to my bridal shower, bachelorette party to my wedding. I feel like if I invite them to the other two and not inviting them to my wedding is offensive!

That is so true!! when FH and I were first dating he got invited to a bachelor party weekend in ocean city. it was for his friend's, friend's brother. He didn't know the groom and wasn't goin to the wedding. But it was a weekend of totally nude strippers and liquor!! what guy would say no to that??
