My family is really really really so stupid sometimes.
After my e-party, I noticed a bunch of stuff was bought off my registry, but never given to me. So I figured some people bought shower gifts at the same time.
The other night I'm at my aunts house, and I notice, her ice bucket is the same as the one I registererd for. When I mention it to her, she starts to laugh and tells me she had originally bought it for me, but realized she needed one. Does she not realize the purpose of a registry is to buy the engaged people something, not yourself!!!!
What really irks me is she probably wouldn't have told me or replaced the one she bought me if I hadn't noticed it.
just had to vent!

That is the DUMBEST thing I have ever heard. She should have just copied down the info of the items she liked instead of taking them off the Regisrty. How stupid!

Don't you hate it when other people run out and buy the same things for their house as you have for yours? Hopefully she gets you a new one to replace the one she took off your registry.

She probably just didn't put two and two together and did not realize that now the ice bucket is off of your registry and people will assume that YOU already have it ! I'm sure she was completely innocent in keeping it for herself not realizing the effect it had on your registry ...........

Seriously, that is so tacky it is one for the archives -- so so funny in a pathetic way! Add another one to the registy so that it will get purchased and maybe she will get the hint!

did you explain that now it is off the registry and other people will not know you need it? She sounds a little clueless to me...

I was thinking the same thing. You should let her know so someone else bcan get the bucket for you. Some people just don't think sometimes.

That's hilarious!!! Sounds like something my family members would do. If their going to buy something for themselves from your registry, they should at least not have it removed from the registry. Duh!!!

This is the real kicker, everytime i try to add it back onto my registry, Fortunoffs keeps putting down that I have one already. The only way I could put it back is to say I want 2 and the registry will show that I already have 1.
