Deposit or downpayment you have to pay to book the below? Does it depend on which vendor you choose?? Are they spread out into monthly payments as well??

This is what i paid...
Flowers - 25%
Photographer/Videographer - approx 40%
DJ - I havent done the down payment yet... I dont know if he would even ask me for one...
Limo - I havent done the down payment yet... I am waiting for my girl to get back to me with the prices...

These are just MY downpayments - I don't know if they're the norm.
Flowers - definitely not the norm. Actually I haven't paid anything yet as I'm using a friend.
Photographer/Videographer - $750 (500 photo, 250 video). Then I paid another $700 a month ago.
DJ - We're using a band. I think the deposit was $650. We paid another $750 a few months later.
Limo - $600 deposit. We haven't paid anything else since booking.

Band: deposit due with contract was $2,000, its about 1/3rd of the entire cost. the balance is due in cash the night of the wedding.
Photo/Video deposit due with contract was $500, its about 1/6th of the entire cost. the balance is due in cash either the week of the wedding or the night of the wedding. (the person who i hired is a family friend, could be why the deposit was so small)

All vendors asked for a deposit opf $500 including the RH. FH and I gave way more - I'm not sure it was the best idea, however down the road I think it is better because we won't have to shell out a large sum to all vendors at the same time... For photo/video and dj we gave 50% the cost.

Photog - 20% Band - 13% and then another 13% a month later. The rest we pay day of the wedding

For flowers we left a deposit of $200. I think that was a set amount, not based on a percentage.
For photography we left a deposit of $750, which I think was 20%.
For DJ we left 40%.
For limo we didn't need to leave anything because we are using a friend, but we still left about 30% I think.
Every company is different though!

Flowers - 1/3 down, the rest the day of
Photographer/Videographer -$500 deposit, the rest of the 1/3 asap, 1/3 6 months before, last 1/3 when you pick up proofs and albums (1 month after the wedding)
DJ $500 down. havent booked a DJ yet but so far this is what I've heard
Limo - not getting a limo so can't help there.

venue - 1000 deposit
DJ - i think it was around 40 percent of total package
Florist - 10 percent of total package
photo - 500 deposit
video - 250 deposit
