what is the most romantic thing your FH has ever done for you

The most romantic thing DH ever did for me was give me a homemade card the night we got engaged. He made this card on the computer with a picture of us on our first date at the same restaurant we were in when he proposed. The whole card was filled with romantic words and I know he worked so hard on it becuse the first letter of each line he wrote spelled out 'Will you marry me'
Then he surprised me with a 4 day getaway to celebrate

The craziest thing: We started dating in Oct. and that Christmas he bought me a TV and a stereo!! ???? LOL. I loved it though! My family was like 'Huh?'

that's super romantic!

I can't think of anything that FH did for me that was remotely as romantic compared to that. :(

my FH isn't the most romantic guy, but he has his moments. In fact, he told me he was planning a romantic weekend for us this weekend in Massachusetts at a B&B for a place that had a jacuzzi, but it was too $$. . We're really tight on money for the wedding, but it was so nice of him to think of doing that for us! Especially after we had a bad weekend last week!

But one of my favorite moments was when on one of my birthdays when he showed up with a HUGE white teddy bear with a Santa hat on my birthday to pick me up to go to Manhattan to see the Christmas Spectactular, the Christmas tree and for dinner at Serendipity.

Also, he planned a day at Mount Mohonk, one of his favorite places, and dinner in Woodstock - which was one of his favorite places to go when he was little. That was 3 weeks into dating, and I loved that he planned it all.

And, of course, the proposal when he filled his mom's kitchen with flowers and balloons and had romantic music playing as he got down on one knee to pop the question.

Oh - and at our fav B&B when he took out his iPod and played Garth Brooks' 'To Make You Feel My Love' in the bubblebath.... soooo romantic! And another time when he played it out of nowhere in our house to slowdance with me in our living room.

Wow... he's more romantic than I thought!!

There are many romantic little things he does on a regular basis. The one that stands out is when my LaMaze was scheduled for one weekend and later rescheduled for another. The new date didn't fall on his days off and he had already used up all his time for the year. I was disappointed because I didn't have anyone else who could come with me (mother was sick and sister was away).

I resigned myself to the fact that I would be the only pregnant woman in the class without a partner. On the morning of, I started to make him breakfast and noticed that he never put his uniform on for work. He told me he worked his last 3 double shifts to switch his days off so he could be with me during LaMaze. I hugged him so hard the baby kicked.

I think the craziest thing would have to be before I was pregnant. Everyone always thinks he's this famous actor so he finally decided to fake it and name drop this actor's name at FOUR different Lounges and nightclubs in NYC. THEY ALL LET US IN FOR FREE AND TWO COMPED OUR DRINKS FOR THE NIGHT. Needless to say, we didn't recover until the next afternoon.

Oh ...how could I forget! Throughout our dating years, he used to make me 'mix' cd's! I LOVED that!

i have TONS of those...and they have silly things written on them...his favorite one was fixed so that every other song was one i hated and he loved even if just to annoy me...and he wrote 'no song skipping' on it.


once he wrote out 'I LOVE YOU' in m&ms....very cute!!!!

I was just thinking the same thing!!!!!!!!!! haha!

He had to work on my birthday a few years back and so I was going to be all alone. So he got all ready and left and I went into the back yard to read a book and then he came back with roses and chocolate and the great news that he called in sick!

It's funny because I always thought of my FH as being romantic but I can't think of any specific event. I guess the cutest was when I came home from celebrating our 6 month anniversary and took off my shoe to find apiece of paper that said I love you in it! But for the most part, he is just does thoughtful things, which I am thankful for. Like when I had a traffic ticket and went to court, he went to the courthouse, taking time out of his work schedule to make sure I was okay. Also, when my grandma died, he was so understanding and he played a song for me that I still play now in order to feel close to her. I think everyone is romantic in his own way.

My b-day is days before x-mas. I hate it when people combine the 2 events.

He woke up early and decorated the apartment with balloons, even on our X-mas tree. it was the first time I had a birthday tree and the best birthday ever!!!

-another time for v-day he took hersey kisses and on each one of the tags, he wrote the reasons why he loved me.
-came home from work with a trail of notes & petals leading into the bedroom
-for all my birthdays & our anniversaries, he makes his own card.
-this one is a bit more sentimental... but since we recently purchased land and he cut down all the trees in the lot... he saved a really nice piece of a tree (small piece) to keep as a momento... to write the date, put in a frame with some pictures, and our names on it.
-a week ago he sent me flowers to work with a note saying he couldn't wait for our wedding and he even mentioned the number of days until the date!

i know there is more (8 years we've been together), but i can't remember right now. But he's usually very good every once in a while with doing something different (even if he gets the ideas off the internet). I could care less!

my FI is not romantic at all. He likes to light candles and set 'the mood' but other than that there's not much, hehe.

i would say the craziest thing we ever did was on our 1 year anniversary we were going out to the hamptons's to stay at my family's place so that we could be 'alone'. when we got there i realized i forgot the key. i was furious. With my permission he knocked down the basement door so we could get in, hehe. he fixed it the next day and it was a great weekend!

Wow... I never would have expected him to be so cute Maybe some of his romanticisim will rub off on my FH

not really romantic.....but when i was having our daughter he ran home from work...got to the hosp and sat there by my side! he was so nervous! it actually was very cute!!! i remember after sitting there for hrs he stood up and put his hand on my belly...rubbed it and then kissed it and said Alexa its Daddy, you arent even out yet and you already have me wrapped around your finger..i love you, then looked at me and said oh and i love you too hahaha! it was really touching to see that sentsative side of him!!
