Theme wedding-venetian masquerade ball
elaborate feather masquerade masks as favors...
feather centerpieces
table names
having the flower girls/ring bearers (all except 1 of each) hand out flowers to all the woman sitting closest to aisle in the church as they walk down the aisle
When FH and I are about to dance our first song, which my FBIL (who's a singer) will be singing, the lights will be dimmed and the bridal party will light taper candles and surround us...
trumpeteers at the church? 99% sure,
tears of joy packets
ceremony fans instead of regular programs
handmade tea length invitations.. including a song request card.. and instead of an inner envelope, it'll be covered in silk tulle and sewed shut with gold colored thread shut and wrapped with old gold colored organza ribbon
Flower girls will be wearing wings
may have a family friend who's an opera singer, sing while the bridal party walks down the aisle.. (he sounds just like Andrea Bocelli (not sure yet though)
Instead of a Bridal Suite, the entire bridal party will be partying away in a speakeasy with our very own bartender and food set-up.. while guests are at the cocktail hour... (we're not going to the cocktail hour)

I know I'm missing stuff but I can't think right now..

we're bikers and we're going to have a lot of bikers there so there are going to be little touches like the harley davidson cake cutting set, i am going to wear a harley davidson garter, our entrance song is going to be born to be wild, our invitations are a bride and groom on a motorcycle. i also found a groom carrying the bride to the motorcycle cake topper and i am going to have the bike be the same color as my FI's bike.

i joked with FI that i would love to do the entrance on the bike wearing our motorcycle glasses and leather jacket but he reminded me i'll be in a pretty white dress, and our room is on the second floor, dont think we could get the bike up there. So that was crossed off the list. LOL.

my matron wore white motorcyle boots underneath her dress. I was thinking of doing that, but i think i'll stick with regular white shoes.

(if you look on the 04 brides board under the threead lets introduce ourselves i have a pic of FI and I on his bike)

I made a photo wall of all of our guests ... It was a huge project, but it came out amazing ... everyone loved it ... I included baby pics of us, our deceased family members, pics of weddings we'd been to, parties etc.
It was a surprise for DH ... he couldn't get over it. It'll be a keepsake forever!

Something simple just a simple dance step down the isle. The while we are being introduced at reception bridalparty does another dance step with a twirl. We do a simple step that goes into our first number.

I dont think I did anything unique - I just tried to stay away from things that I think were not us AND things that are often done at wedding by eliminating a lot of 'tradition' and incorporating little touches of our tastes into everything.

That would be awesome if we could get the bike up there, but i dont think it would be possible. Oh well. its definatly a fun thought.

Unique........hmm.......not sure but some nice touches will be:

A harpist at the ceremony playing all the music....
Instead of a soloist singing an entire song, she will sing a Bible verse, really nice and slow accompanied by the harpist.
I'm copying Sonictef's candle placecards - so it's not original on this board - but to our guests it will be LOL

The trowing of the boquet is going to be different. I am also singing and recording our song and giving it to the DJ to play as our first dance. He dosent know about it yet. I also am having my old voice teacher singing at our ceremomy Ave Maria dedicated to my Grandmother who used to love me sing that and watched the video of me singing it at my HS graduation up until the day she passed away every day. I am also having my 14 month daughter there and we are having a special dance with her Beleve by Elton John. I hope it is nice. Nothing really different but it is special.
