Homeowner Assco. in Central Islip (a nice part)

realtor told me numerous offers well above list price... given the right terms

how much would you bid on this?
we are going tomorrow and have to think fast (a day or two) if we want to put a bid in

i know we are already at a disadvantage cause we are doing 100% financing
the more money i spend makes me want a house house.... we were thinking about renting again and then we saw this listing.

condos in the next complex over are going for 199+. this unit is already well decorated with crown molding, appliances and plenty of space.

looks like a very nice condo and the taxes and common charges are very low. however, from what i know about CI, the area is not as desireable as other areas. this is something to think about in re: resale value. ask the realtor for comps prior to making an offer.

eta: also ask how long the condo has been on the market. i would not rely on everything the realtor tells you. if in fact there ARE numerous offers well above list price, why hasn't the sellers accepted one of those offers?

WOW WHAT A DEAL

CI IS NOT GOOD BUT YOU NEVER KNOW. IT MAY GET BETTER AS THE 'BETTER' AREAS ARE DRIVING US OUT.

ID PERSONALLY BID $145K AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS

ITS A NICE PLACE! GOOD LUCK!

i think they set a date of friday for some reason. i would like to 'trust' this realtor cause of the name. I know Daniel Gale only deals with good places and turns em quickly. I can always start at asking and if it's decline..they can counter.

We are aware of Central Ilsip and avoiding less desriable locations. We did a drive by this area and it wasnt too bad. My aunt lives near the college section and its great. We have another appt tomorrow for amuch more expensive town home. probally wont even bid on it cuase of asking price + tax but can't hurt to check it out.

for us to get a house, we are looking in certain areas up and coming. hopefully it works out for us. our other location is like north bay shore area
