What is the Opinions of the Occidental in Aruba?

Has anyone stayed in the Occidental in Aruba? I hear a lot of nice things about it.

I stayed there this past summer with a bunch of girlfriends. There were a lot of honeymooners around which will be perfect for you. I personally was not very happy with the Occidental. The staff wasn't too friendly. Afterwards, we wished we stayed at either the The Riu or the Hyatt. Did you try looking into those?

We stayed at the Hyat and HATED IT! Way overpriced and u don't get much for your $. We walked through all of the high rise hotels and liked the Riu, Marriott and Radisson the best.
I definitely recommend ALL INCLUSIVE. Aruba is very expensive!

I stayed at the Occidental last November for my HM and LOVED it!!!!!!!! I thought the staff were amazing! The rooms, service...........everything was great!!! I would go back in a heartbeat!

All of Occidental's properties are quite nice. I think it is one of the best All Inclusives on the island.

We just stayed there two weeks ago & had a great time. There were many honeymooners.
They gave us t-shirts, champagne in room. Very satisfied.
The only problem we had was getting dinner reservations at the resort. THey always said it was fulll & then nobody was in restaurant.
