What is the percentage....

of risk of miscarriage AFTER you see the heartbeat at 7 1/2 weeks?

The risk DOES go down when you see a heartbeat, right?

I think the risk goes down after 12 weeks, but there is still a small percentage between 13 & 22 weeks. I'm not sure if anything changes after seeing a heartbeat...

Did you see your baby fluttering???

I was told by my brother (an ob) that the % of mc goes down A LOT after you see the hb. My Dr. said this too.

the risk goes down significantly. I hate to say A MC can happen though. I had two sonos before my 10 week MC. BUT like I said they say the risk goes down a LOT...

Is your DR charting your levels for you? I think they should to help you relax...most levels drop when MC is comign and they can put you on bedrest and hope for the best if they KNOW.

If you levels rise, then you have some piece of mind ya know?

My friend had her dr test her hormone levels till 12 weeks after a past MC, just to know what to expect, or have some sense of 'knowing'...( she has a health girl BTW!)

Try not to think negatively...MANY MANY women have MC's..and the chance of having a healthy baby after a MC is HIGER then having another MC!

Lots of sticky vibes for you!!!

GIRL I know where you are coming from. I was so worried because we went at 6 weeks and I was so afraid I would see it and luckily we saw it and heard it!

Just try to relax and post on that board I shared with you if you need.. All the ladies today understand especially on the pregnancy after m/c board.

Best of luck at your doctor's appointment!

Thank Sunny and Laurie.....I just wanted that reassurance....I'm not freaking or anything, just keeping that in the back of my mind to keep me calm.

Re: What is the percentage....

I totally freaked out for the longest time...esp. with all the statistics of a MC...

My first and second DR,'s apt. I would cry all day in fear I would get there and something would be wrong or they couldnt find a heartbeat...

Im a paranoid freak!

Then after we heard the heartbeat out 12 weeks i calmed down so much...but rented a doppler...I listen to my baby everynight(somtimes the morning too ) and Im enjoying pregnancy so much more..knowing that everything is OK...

It is SO hard to be calm and reassured whether you've had a MC or not. I was in the dr's office weekly listening to the heartbeat Now at 20 weeks I still get nervous from time to time but now that I feel him/her all the time it's a huge relief!
