What is the story with bridesmaids makeup/hair

Am I suppposed to require that they all get their hair and makeup done? or can they do it themselves?

I'm pretty sure either FMIL or I am covering hair and makeup, but if I wasn't, all my girls happen to do VERY good makeup on themselves. I'd probably say something like, 'I'd like it if you guys got your makeup done, but if you don't want to, it's definitely okay because I love the way you do your own makeup.'

It's up to you. I told them that they can do whatever they want. I feel bad requiring them to do that, since it can get expensive.

I didnt require them to do it...but all of them are getting it done. I am paying for my Moh's (I have 2) to have their make up done as part of their gift...

I feel if you require it you should be paying for IMHO. I am paying for the girls hairs and my sisters and mom's make up the other girls are going to do their own make up

I'm going to let them do their own. If they ask about where they can get it done I'll tell them what the rates are for the people I am using but I'm not going to make them wear their hair or makeup a certain way...

when i was getting the prices and booking for myself.. i told all my bm's they can do whatever they want... 2 of my sisters, my niece and my 2 cousins will be with me for hair and makeup... the rest of the BM's are either getting their hair/mu done somewhere or doing it themselves...

im not making them get their hair/makeup done but i know they all want to do it on their own

My MOH gave us all a specific hairstyle for her wedding. And some of my bm's have asked how I want their hair; I don't really care as long as it doesn't look like my hair.

i am requiring it, it is the only think i have required.... so i feel its fair...some of them would try to do it themselves and then what if i hate it and it ruins my photos... maybe thats selfish, but jmo
