What is the stupidest thing your boss told you to do, then denied he told you to do it

This happened today. he bought coffee for someone and a container of milk to keep in our fridge. (he sent me for it) and told me put the coffee in the fridge and leave the milk here (on his desk). I look at him like he's crazy, and said what are you sure? he said yes. I said ok.

so just now he comes to me and says what did you do with his coffee. I said i did what you told me to do, i put it in the fridge. he said what i told you put the milk in the fridge. I said no dom you said leave the milk and put the coffee in the fridge.

he said oh. then walked away.

so now he goes to get the coffee that he bought for his boss and i dont know what he told his boss, but he said 'you're gonna love this' and i didnt hear anything else.

so my boss is king idiot

he told me at 9am to do this, its now 10:30 that he became an idiot

My boss - I asked one day if I could leave 1/2 hour early for someting. She had to come out of her office, look around (we all work in one big workspace) and look like 'gee can we afford to let her leave early' like we were so busy or something. Hello if we were busy I woudn't have asked!!! She finally sighed and said 'well I suppose so'. Wow. Thanks. :::rolling eyes::::

But she's never asked me to do something and then said she didn't ask me.

As for your boss...I would have said 'you just told me to do this...don't you mean......??' I think he didn't realize what he was saying.

He is a little backwards

I hated my old boss...he asked me to clean his desk out while he was on his 1 month vacation...mind you, I was not his assistant but a manager of the entire department. I reported him to his boss and when he got back from vacation he denied that he asked me to do it.

Mind you we worked in the Insurance Claim World.. Workers Comp, Employers Liability (for slander, harras$ment and such).

Well, Veronica.. now that we have a new office in New York, we decided we may leave a few key people behind to help out here in New Jersey... since your Single, female and probably wont have kids anytime soon, I figured you'd be prefect for the job. Family employees usually have a hard time relocating you understand and Females are just more stationary.

Uhmmm.. I live in Long Island and the office was in Englewood Cliffs, NJ and just SAYING that's illegal you ditz!

I shocked speechless. He just smiled like he did me a favor and later on that day it was determinded that I was needed in the city and couldnt stay in Jersey. Nice, eh? Then he comes back and says 'I knew all that when we had that conversation, I was just asking if you wanted to stay here'.. yeah... riiiiiiiiiiiight
