I think it depends on your bridal party. For me, I have only a MOH to officially gift, but I plan on buying little gifts for my friends that have helped me along the way as well.
I would say at least 100, I know I'm spending 300 alone on my dress for a BP I'm in....not shoes, hair, nails, makeup...people like to feel 'reciprocated towards...'which doesn't necessarily mean dollar value but something that shows you really appreciated them.

Re: What is the typical budget
I did $60 for Gm and $85 for Bm. I also did lunches and smaller presents for my girls along the way, as did DH.

Really? I thought only about $50 was reasonable. Our problem we have a VERY LARGE bridal party =/ I didnt know you were supposed to spend so much that is going to KILL our budget DAMN...
Is $50 too cheap then?

It depends to me on the size of your bridal party and your budget. If you shop around you can find GREAT dealts for a gift $50 and under. You can also get your girls little tote bags and fill them up with little things that they can use. I had a 20 person BP so if you need ideas feel free to FM me. HTH

You do what you can....however, I hope you didn't ask your girls to spend a small fortune on their dresses. If you're a good shopper, you can do alot for $50. You can buy coach wristlets at an outlet ect.
I'm not buying gifts for my bridal party. I am paying for their dresses and make-up. If I do get anything, it will be sentimental- a frame or something.

I would think it depends on your budget and how many girls you have. I know personally I would not be able to spend 50-100 per girl, I dont have that kind of money. I have bracelets for them that normally ran 60-80 that I got on sale

do what you can considering your budget and size of bp party, just remember to keep this in line with what you ask them to spend for your wedding (ie dresses shoes etc)

Re: What is the typical budget
We have a large bridal party so for the girls I'm spending money on their jewelry (from overstock -->$40 for earrings and necklace). Then going to pay for their hair and make up so I'm only gonna maybe spend another $30-40 per girl for a gift. For the men, we're thinking about $50 each but hoping to get something that values at a higher price. (basically looking for really good deals/sales)

i spent more than anticipated.. $200 for BMs DOJ, $15 for make up bag, $10 for personalized tank to get ready in the morning of, and $5 for small make up pouch.. so $230 per girl.. 6 girls.. . GM we have no idea yet.. parents no idea yet...
