I've gotten a lot of things taken care of... The only unfinished business I have right now if invitations... DIY or not DIY, that is the question.
After that's done, I want to start checking out limos. But I have a lot of questions about this...
-Do we have to supply transportation for anybody besides the bridal party to go from the church to the reception? -Do spouses of bridal attendants provide their own transportation? -Should me and the hubby leave the church in our own car and let the bridal party take a separate limo? -Do children in the bridal party go in the limo? -If me and hubby leave in a separate car, would my dad and I take that car to the church and let the girls take the limo to the church? -Do limo companies throw in any extras? I'm kind of hoping we can get transportation to/from JFK for the honeymoon thrown in for free. Do I have a chance at getting that?
-Can you recommend any limo companies? There's a ton out there so any advice would be awesome!
Thanks so much in advance for your help!

Re: what is the typical limo protocol?
I am providing transportation for the bridal party only and both sets of parents.
One of my BM's is from Wisconsin and she is married; so I am going to have her husband join us so they don't rent a car.
Other than that, any other bridal party people who have dates, or spouses that are NOT part of the bridal party, have to fend for themselves.
After church, FH and I will travel by ourselves and the bridal party will be in the limo.
I saw Sir Oliver today; very nice but limited for our day because they already had 5 weddings booked for our day (11/7/09).
LOTS of the girls on here RAVE about Camelot...and I am seeing them on 2/9/09.
I think once you go see someone, they will help you figure it all out.

Re: what is the typical limo protocol?
i can recommend camelot and royalty.
we arent providing sevice for anyone else. my dad will go with me and FH will leave together leaving the party together in the limo. we;re not sure we're gonna take the kids in the limo after just because the guys can get rowdy. the spouses of the party are taking their own cars so everyone can get home after the reception. Both places do offer to take you to the airport if you're leaving right away or to the hotel for the night. Hope this helps. Good luck.

no you dont have to provide transportation for guests.
We didnt have spouses, gf/bf's of our bp in the limo. Which wouldnt be smart to do either since the bp goes to the RH with no car and they will need a ride home so its best if their significant other brings a car to take back home.
as far as you and fh going in one car and bp in another, its up to you ive seen it both ways. Personally we wanted to be with our bp and celebrate with them. We got a party bus for this so we can have all the room and i liked that we were all together after.
No the rb and fg DID NOT come in the party bus, i didnt think it would be appropriate. I knew ppl would be drinking, smoking, maybe cursing and wouldnt be an environment for a kid.
to go to ceremony this is what we did. DH and the gm had to be at the church earlier than the girls so the party bus picked up dh and his guys first around 1:30pm and dropped them off, then came to my house to pick up the girls at 2pm. The party bus and rolls royce came to my house at 2pm. The girls went onto the party bus and i went in the rolls with my mom and dad. After ceremony parents went in the rolls and dh and i went on party bus with bp
YES most limo companies provide free transportation after the wedding, whether you need it to take you to the airport or hotel right after. We didnt leave for our HM until 5 days after our wedding, so we used the free limo to take us into the city to hotel we were staying at.

I would suggest supplying transportation for the bridal party and the parents.
For spouses/gf/bfs of bridal party they usually drive so they have a way to get home after the wedding.
Sometimes what people do is get one limo for the guys and one limo for the girls before the ceremony-then afterwards the bride and groom and moh and bm go in one limo and the rest of the bp go in the other limo. Or if there's enough room you can do just bride and groom in a limo and the bp in another limo.
I would sit down with a few limo companies because I'm sure they have different packages.
Good luck!

You can also pick up the guys if you wanted. -Do limo companies throw in any extras? I'm kind of hoping we can get transportation to/from JFK for the honeymoon thrown in for free. Do I have a chance at getting that? yes, haggle for it.
