The best man was sooooooo drunk that he could not even give a speech. It wasn't until a good ten minutes of trying to get something out. It was so embarrassing because the video guy had to pause the tap because of this. When he finally said something, he said the bride's name incorrect.

ok ready for this????....the couple did not have a marriage license & the pastor let everyone know that she was marrying them but didnt feel good about

The last wedding I went to the Justice of the Peace that married them went on for like almost 10 minutes....his sentence structure and grammar was atrocious and half the time he wasn't making any sense.

The cocktail hour was in a tiny room with no seating and...umm...no bar. There was a vat of margaritas though.

I went to a wedding where the groom was escorted out by the police. Not sure exactly what happened...but all of a sudden the groom was on the microphone telling guests to give him envelopes directly b/c the brides' dad was opening the envelopes and taking the money. Minutes later the groom was handcuffed and whisked away by a cop car.

Needless to say, the marriage was very short lived...I think less than 6 months.

09er crashing
Was the grooms name Jay by any chance? This sounds like a stoey Ive heard before?

Dumb...crazy maybe. A groomsmen...who is VERY overweight (100lbs easy), but such the Animal House character... very animated and a jokester... well he basically was drunk and egged on by other friends and stripped down to his blue briefs that looked more like a thong on his wide backside. He danced and then streaked the ballroom, ran into the kitchen, back out and into the bridal suite. He was hysterical..but with a mixed crowd, at a wedding, not the brightest idea. Did I mention its on many videos and he is a cop? LOL

I'm always a big fan of the photo montage, but I went to a wedding last summer where the montage went on for 5 songs!! It seemed like EVERY picture the couple had ever taken was in it. We just sat there for about 15 minutes watching this thing.

I took it as a lesson to limit it to 3 songs max. One for bride growing up, one for groom growing up, and one for you together!

Okay...I have been to very few weddings.....and to be honest I have not seen anything funny or dumb at it....but I can tell you something that happened afterwards....

I went to a friend's wedding and about a week later i go to Virginia Beach for mini vacation....when I get back....my mom says to me guess who is getting a divorce?

I looked at her like ...she says to me guess.....

She proceeds to tell me that our friend had come back from his honeymoon early and is now getting a divorce!! I was like what!!! I gave them $200!!! GRRRRR!!!

Seems that a month or so before getting married, he had met another person and had asked his fiancee that they postpone the wedding, coz he needed some time. Also, he always encountered problems with her family through the years and the new girl's family seemed to love him. (He came from a big family so family was very important to him) She told him well we can't cancel...we already spent $20,000 on it and I am PREGNANT!! Well needless to say, she lied about that and of course he found out on the honeymoon.....

They got divorced and he went off with the other girl got married and started a family.

i have been to a lot of weddings but i have not expierenced anything out of the ordinary.

the only thing i did notice was that at all the weddings i have been to with the exception of my brothers all of the grooms end up very, very drunk.

maybe its not until a room full of everyone you know & spending lots of money they actually realize they are married. i told FH he better control himself.

Believe it was!!! They went all out on the reception!! They had it CLM and everything was seafood seafood seafood....main course Surf and Turf (lobster and filet mignon)!! I knew they spent a good amount of $$$ and their HM was in Hawaii....OUCH!! My wallet just screamed!!!

2 weird things....jeans and t-shirts at an upscale wedding BUT it was down south and i remember when i was little i went o an outside wedding with a tent set up BUT a cemetary was right there. i mean you walked out of the tent and headstones were RIGHT there.
