at an engagement party. With just food, talking, background music, and wedding party announcements, it seems like it may be boring. What else is there to do?

maybe trivia games, and perhaps dancing. but more than anything the socializing should be the main thing. there will probably be people who haven't seen each other in a while. they key is to keep an appropriate time limit so people can still have fun but won't feel like the party is dragged out.

can make a candy bar for dessert, or have a table with photos from when you and fh were younger...starts up more conversations

i dont think you really need much else. the photos of the two of you is a good idea. at one engagement party i went ot the couple opened the presents they received which took up some time.

mine was alot of socializing and dancing...i had trivia cards about FH and i on each table (pics in my DIY album)

I really like that trivia card idea. I'm not really worried about people getting bored. Good food, music, and drinks...the rest will come naturally.
