Last night we received a gift off of our registry. This person is FH cousin and wasn't invited to my shower. I am not sure if this is a shower gift or wedding gift. Should I send a shower thank you or wait until after the wedding?
TIA

Yes, I had my shower...the gift was like 60 dollars if that helps?
He has so many cousins and I really wanted to have an intimate shower. They rsvpd yes to the wedding a couple of weeks ago......

Re: what is this gift for?
I would send a general thank you card, thanking them for the thoughtful gift. If after the wedding you don't get a gift from them, then it's probably a wedding gift. My boss had given me an engagement gift (through the mail) and then a few weeks later I got some of my china (again through the mail) i was confused, but when i didn't receive a check from the wedding I knew that was the gift. In the meantime, I sent a general thank you after we received it, that way I covered all the bases.

If she wasn't invited to the shower, then I would assume it's a wedding gift.

I'd send a 'thank you for the gift' without specifying 'wedding gift' vs 'shower gift.'

It's probably a wedding gift same thing happened to me. I invited this person to my shower and she couldn't come so she bought me a gift recently and i asked her should i send you a shower thank you or a wedding thank you and she says oh a wedding one because it's a wedding gift.

Re: what is this gift for?
I agree with the other girls, I would send out a general thank you card.
