what is Trash the Dress?

Hi All!
Just curious what is 'trash the dress'??

You don't really have to Trash the Dress... they call it by other names, too... Post wedding Shoot, Day After Photos, Rock the Frock, etc.

We're doing one at Coney Island! We'll be taking pics on the rides, the boardwalk, and the beach!

Trash the Dress IS something different...it is when the bride puts on her dress and TRASHES it, as in, going in water, mud, dirt, sand, etc...

Day After, Rock the Frock, those are when you just take additional pics in your dress.

I never heard rock the frock lol

yes I called it TTD but it was really 'rock the dress'
It also allows you to take the type of photos you didn't do day of.
Like I had no time for 'dramatic' ones.

There was a website called trashthedress.com but everyone got all in a huff about the name saying it's selfish to trash the dress, you should donate it, blah blah blah. I'm sorry, I know it's a nice and wonderful thing to do, but I paid lots of money and I'll do with the dress what I please!!! So now they changed the name to Free to Flaunt. They send me e-mails with gorgeous TTD pics and they always call it a different name in the e-mails, I liked Rock the Frock, too!

mine didn't get dirty believe it or not.
I had it dry cleaned and I am selling.
Day of I wore it maybe 4 and now for this 2.
It's in perfect condition!

They usually don't, at least not so dirty that they can't be cleaned! Even when brides go into the ocean, more often than not you can get it dry cleaned to look brand spanking new. I plan to use the lace from my dress to make a christening gown when I have kids!

I know Regy, it's so stupid! They need to mind their bizness!

ETA: They usually don't get dirty unless you WANT it to! There are some things there's just no coming back from...
