I'm so confused! Although I have over 200 posts, I still have NO idea what TWOTY is! (I know it's the wedding of the year... but WHAT???) Somebody please explain! THANK YOU!!!!

It took me a while to figure out what the acronym stood for, but can you tell me WHAT exactly happens there? Is it a real wedding? How do you go to it?

it is a mock wedding where vendors showcase their services and LIW's puts on a grand show. Its a great event so far attended two of them. Do a search on the brides reviews for TWOTY or wedding of the year and you will see the past one's in review.

The Bridal Party is made up of couples that were married the previous year, for 08 it was a 2007 couple, and so on. Its basically a 'mock' wedding, where all the vendors donate their time and expertise. The 2008 ladies put their name in for consideration, and the bridal party is drawn and notified.
because it is a full wedding (ceremony and all) it is a good opportunity to see the various vendors in action. There are usually different styles of centerpieces, different types of music, and a DJ and Band that switch off during the reception.
THere are also a lot of prizes that vendors on here donate and the attendees can win, and random prizes that go on (I won a pair of diamond earrings last year because I was the girl there with the wedding furthest away...Speaking off, Ron, could you FM me, I lost one of the earrings =( and would like to know where you got them so I can see about replacing it)
Its a lot of fun, lots of food, and if you are still looking for vendors or ideas for your wedding, its a really good thing to go to

we went last year! It was a mock wedding, where liweddings can show off all of their vendors..they have a couple who is already married 'get married' and all the bridesmaids and groomsmen are also former brides and grooms from liweddings (im trying to convince brian to let me sign us up lol) this years will be people that got married in 2008 (anyone who wants just enters themselves and they are picked at random)
a bridal shop thats an liw vendor will supply a wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses, someone will do everyone in the bridal partys hair/makeup (thats a vendor), jewelry will be worn to show off a vendors work, the officiant who preforms the ceremony is showing of what they can do, there will prob be an aisle runner made by a vendor, the dj/band will be vendors on here showing off, the RH will be showing off the hall and the food, there will be different centerpieces on each table from different florists showing off what they can do, etc... there are tons of prizes u can enter and win (i think i was the only one that didnt win anything last year lol) but it is a lot of fun!
