I have a lot of checklists that I am using for all this planning. A few of them mention getting wedding insurance. What is it, do I need it, and where can I get it?

Wedding insurance covers the costs of your wedding for things like natural disasters and what not... but not things like cold feet.
From what I understand, the policies are very specific with lots of exclusions but i've never read one myself so I'm not sure how worth it it is.. I know most people don't use it. I don't know where you'd get it and I don't know how expensive it is, so I guess I'm not a super help, lol

most of your contracts cover contingencies for cancellations anyway...

alot of outdoor weddings and winter weddings do them in case of really bad weather and you need to (GASP) cancel/reschedule OR if one of your vendors doesnt show or something goes wrong with them. if you google it you can find some companies- its not expensive. we didnt get it but i know several people who did
