What is wedding of the year about?!

i'm seeing a lot of these wedding of the year in this site.. does anyone what it is about?
do people get chosen? i have no clue!!

It's a get-together once a year hosted by Ron and Liz, the owners of this website. They have a mock wedding (this year it was at the Woodbury Historical Chapel) using a past brides in the bridal party. Then, there's a party (it was at the Huntington Hilton), where there was food, DJ and band, and give-aways. It was fun!! I didn't win anything though

i thought it was good but actually suggested a few more things - namely that though there were different flowers, i would have loved to have a few more 'select' vendors - the ones that are on this website - so that you could see some good ones.

you go to these BIG shows and you really don't get a chance to see anything because they are crazy. i think the WOTY would be a good opportunity to get the ones you really want there.
