I know this issue has been vented about before and will be vented about for years to come, but......My deadline for responses is tomorrow - WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH PEOPLE? 33 are still outstanding. What is so hard about writing your name, checking a box and licking an envelope, and placing it in the mail??????????
And most of these non-responders are from my Family!!!!!!! It makes you feel like they don't care. Not that everyone has to be so interested in my life-but it is just common courtesy-argh!

I haven't gone through this yet, but the fact that you even put a return stamp on it and they still don't send them back is sad.

Family members will always wait until the last minute because they assume you know they're coming. It still doesn't change the fact that you need to see the responses in writing.

I know, it's insane that people can't be bothered to get it back. I gave up two weeks before the wedding, when I still hadn't heard from 3 couples (relatives) who couldn't be bothered to respond!

Family tends to think that you 'know' what they are planning on doing.

After our wedding (we were still waiting on 75 responses a week before the wedding). My father said to me, he will ALWAYS send back the rsvp as soon as he gets it going forward. Gives you a whole new outlook on it!

i did the same thing - my deadline was Jan 2nd and responses are still rolling in - i had to call alot of people, who of course said they mailed it meanwhile its postmarked for after the phone call. I think its rude to not respond in a timely fashion when you know the deadline is important and the person is waiting to hear from you.
