I heard that the invite process is a breeze compared to doing the seating chart.

Seating chart blows.

I said this in another post, but I wouldn't even attempt a seating chart until all RSVPs are in. If you resign yourself to that, you'll save yourself so much time and aggravation!

I would say the opposite, waiting for the RSVPs blow worse.

Mainly because I did my seating chart in about a half hour (seating people was pretty easy for our families) and also because I couldn't even get started on the placecards OR the seating chart UNTIL I had all of the damn RSVP's!!!

Seating chart was a little tough for me. However, I did think about it quite a bit before we sat down to get it together. That helped a lot. Try not to stress if your parents try to make changes to the chart after you are done.

AND----the best thing we did was to make jokes about it as we went along. DH and I kept telling each other different funny scenarios for who to seat together. It actually helped us to get creative because some of the ideas were not so bad!!! It really worked out because it seems like everyone really hung out with all the people from their table. Even the people who didn't know anyone are still able to talk about the people they met at their table.

Luckily my seating chart was not so hard to do but it was still a task that I dreaded!!! Waiting for the RSVP's was a breeze!!!

I actually just finished mine last night and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I have both my Mom and my FMIL their respective sides and they put the tables together and I just placed them on the chart. It worked out perfectly.

And it is a week before my wedding, and I'm still getting RSVPs back! At least they are no's because I counted the ones that did not repsond as a no.
