Five-month-old found alone in car at Green Acres Mall


(11/24/03) VALLEY STREAM - An infant is in the care of a grandparent Monday, after she was found alone in a car at the Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream.
Police say they found the 5-month-old girl in an empty car with the doors unlocked and the windows rolled up Saturday.

The child's father Wegenere Fisher, 25 and her aunt Rebeca Fisher, 31, were arrested when they returned to the car. They have been charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Police say the baby is fine.

People like this make me sick!

FINALLY a parent is being charged with endangerment!!! Every time I read about a car-theft with a baby the parents get off scott free.

SOme people should not be allowed to have childredn!!! I wouldn't leave a dog trapped in a car, never mind a baby!!

Abducted Boy Found In Abandoned Van

NATIONAL CITY -- A 4-year-old boy was found unharmed in his mother's minivan Monday, less than two hours after the vehicle had been stolen with the child inside.

Daniel Peralta was abducted when a thief drove off in his mother's Nissan Quest. The van was taken from the 1700 block of E. 8th Street in National City at about 9 a.m., according to a statewide alert issued by the California Highway Patrol.

Police found the stolen van abandoned in the 2200 block of 5th Avenue, about six blocks from where it had been taken. The boy was safe inside, and the thief had fled.
