So one of FH's groomsmen - yes you are reading this right - RSVP'd no. I was furious. But, perhaps he made a mistake I thought, so I asked FH to call him. No mistake. Why did he RSVP no you ask? Because he couldn't find a date!!!!

Hello??? Maybe I'm being selfish but I don't think its too much to do something for a good friend - even if it makes you a little uncomfortable - for five hours of your life. Especially considering that it's your friends wedding of all things. But this makes it even better.....ALL of this guy's friends will be there and he STILL said no. All because of the date thing.

Fortunately, he changed his mind and told FH he would go. But he's not happy about it. I think he's got a lot of nerve!

my FH hasn't spoken to his best man in 2 and an half months. He is currently trying to replace him. I am angry like you, I think it is rude and thoughless. But on the flip side, I feel bad for my fiance because they used to be friends and it shows that it meant nothing to his friend.

Thats totally strange. Does he know what being a groomsman is? Obviously not, or he would not have responded no. Didn't he order a tux and everything?

That's pretty messed up. We had a GM not respond and when we called to ask if he was coming he said that his wife was staying home with the kid and he wasn't sure how he was getting there or where he'd stay (he's from out of town). Two days later he called back to let us know that he wasn't going to come. Awesome.

I can't believe that guy- or the others guys the other brides have been talking about. That's crazy! I'd make sure that the GM knows he has to come to the church, rent a tux and all that stuff- seems like he's pretty clueless....
